1. Ensure someone reliable is organized to care for your pets if you are going away.

2. If your pet is going into boarding kennels ensure that it is fully vaccinated.

3. Be careful feeding your dog excess leftovers at Christmas.

4. Excess scraps can cause gastroenteritis.

5. Chocolates can be toxic to dogs.

6. Don’t leave you animal alone in a car.

7. If travelling with your pet, make sure he/she is secure in the car and cannot cause an accident.

8. Christmas can be hot so, as always, ensure adequate water is available. Have a back up water bowl in case one runs out.

9. Christmas lights and kid’s new toys are often very attractive to inquisitive dogs – be extra careful.

10. Have a Happy, Fun and Safe Christmas with your family and pets.
